// Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently asked questions in this topic.
What is the difference between sapwood-free posts and debarked poles?
Peeled poles have a more natural look because, after debarking, they receive no further surface treatment or sanding. By contrast, sapwood-removed posts are carefully sanded after debarking, resulting in a smoother, more refined surface and a more uniform diameter. In short: peeled poles feel more robust and rustic, while sapwood-removed posts offer a cleaner, more elegant appearance.
Can debarked poles be used for fences?
Yes, many people use them for decorative fences, to enclose farms, rural mansions or pastures. Due to their massive structure, they provide a durable solution and can withstand outdoor conditions.
What lengths and thicknesses are these poles available in?
Most popular sizes:
Hossz: 1.5-3 m ig.
Custom-made production is available for larger quantities.
How durable are debarked poles?
The poles are made of locust grown in Hungary; locust wood is naturally highly resistant to weather conditions and to rotting. Used outdoors, even when driven into the ground, they can be used for many years, even without treatment.
